KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Fort Hays State softball team placed eight student-athletes on the 2025 MIAA Academic Honor Roll, announced Thursday (June 5) by the conference office.

Two Tigers took home additional honors, with
Regan Curry and
Peyton Shepard both earning the MIAA Academic Excellence Award for continuing to maintain a perfect 4.00 GPA. This is the fourth time Curry has earned the honor, while it is the third-such award for Shepard.

Others listed on the MIAA Academic Honor Roll include
Savanah Egger,
Audrey Gillespie,
Emily Mayer,
Lexi Mohr,
Lilliana Ramirez-Johnson and
Morgan Schmidt. It is the fourth time Curry, Egger and Schmidt have been listed on the Academic Honor Roll, while it is the third-such recognition for Mohr, Ramirez-Johnson and Shepard and the second honor for Gillespie and Mayer.

An MIAA Academic Excellence Award recipient must have a grade point average used by the institution for purposes of NCAA academic certification of 4.00 or better at the certifying member institution. The honoree also must have at least two terms of attendance at the certifying member institution, excluding summer terms.

To be recognized on the Academic Honor Roll, one must have a grade point average used by the institution for purposes of NCAA academic certification of 3.00 at the certifying member institution. The individual must also have at least two terms of attendance at the certifying member institution, excluding summer terms.

First-year student-athletes, including transfers and true freshmen, will be recognized at the conclusion of the school year when they meet the two terms of attendance requirement.
