Fort Hays State Women's Soccer is set to kick off its 2026 season with a pair of non-conference matchups in Kearney, Neb. The Tigers open the season against William Jewell on Friday, August 28
th at 11 a.m., then take on Rockhurst two days later on Sunday at 11 a.m. as well. Live stats and video coverage will be available for both matches.

HAGAN'S FIRST SEASON
The Tigers enter their first season under head coach
Alex Hagan. He came to FHSU from Johnson County (Kan.) Community College, where he served as an assistant coach. He helped the Cavaliers to a pair of NJCAA national runner-up finishes. Prior to that, he was head coach at Bethel College for five years.
FRENCH IS TOP RETURNING SCORER
Chaley French is the top returning goal scorer from a year ago. She found the net six times, just one shy of team leader
Sydney Cotter.
Taylor Hill and
Saylor Richard each had two goals in 2025 and return this season.
RETURNING BETWEEN THE PIPES
Hadley Ostrander was the primary goalkeeper last season playing in 16 matches with 15 starts. She recorded 55 saves for the season and a .714 save percentage.
20 RETURN
Fort Hays State has 20 returners from last year's team. The Tigers welcomed 10 newcomers to the squad this year.
ABOUT WILLIAM JEWELL
- William Jewell finished 2-11-4 in 2025, including 2-9-3 in GLVC play.
- This is the first matchup between FHSU and William Jewell.
ABOUT ROCKHURST
- Rockhurst concluded its 2025 season with 8-6-4 overall record, going 7-4-3 in GLVC play. The Hawks managed 40 goals on the year, while allowing 14.
- Rockhurst holds a 2-0 all-time series lead against Fort Hays State.
- The Hawks defeated the Tigers 3-1 last year in Kansas City.
