Fort Hays State men's soccer's Francisco Degiorgi has been named the first GAC Offensive Player of the Week of the 2026 season, announced Tuesday (Sept. 1) by the league office.

Degiorgi tallied a goal and an assist in his Tiger debut last week, helping FHSU to a season-opening 4-1 win over No. 13 Rockhurst on Thursday (Aug. 27). The junior transfer assisted on the game-winning goal in the first half before solidifying the lead with a strike from outside the box in the second half.

Degiorgi and his Tiger teammates will return to the pitch Wednesday evening (Sept. 2) when FHSU hosts William Jewell beginning at 7 p.m.
