Fort Hays State, ranked No. 20 in the latest NABC Division II Top 25 Poll, hosts Sterling College in non-conference play Saturday afternoon (Nov. 30) at Gross Memorial Coliseum in Hays. Game time is set for 4 pm. FHSU enters with an overall record of 6-0, while Sterling enters at 4-3.
The Tigers went undefeated in a run of six straight games against in-region Division II opponents to open the year. This will be the first game against an NAIA oppponent this year for the Tigers. They have just two NAIA opponents on the schedule this year.
Dwayne Brunson continues to lead the Tigers at 20.8 points and 11.2 rebounds per game. He has recorded five straight double-doubles in points and rebounds heading into Saturday.
Carson Konrade ranks second on the team in scoring at 15.5 points per game and is shooting 51.2 percent beyond the 3-point line this year.
Craig Nicholson adds 15.2 points per game, while leading the team in assists per game, averaging 9.3.
Tomislav Gabric is also averaging double figures in scoring at 11.0 points per game.
This is the last game for the Tigers before entering MIAA play next week at Central Missouri and Missouri Western.
