Fort Hays State senior guard Carson Konrade was named to the CoSIDA/Capital One Academic All-America Team for the 2013-14 season. He was named to the third team, becoming the 42nd CoSIDA Academic All-America selection in FHSU history.

Konrade is the first Academic All-America selection for FHSU men's basketball since 1978. Konrade is just the second CoSIDA Academic All-America selection in FHSU history, joining Mike Pauls who earned the honor in 1978. Keith Harper and Dave Royse also earned Academic All-America selections in the 1970s from a different organization.

Konrade currently averages 13.3 points per game and ranks seventh in the nation in 3-point field goal percentage (.489). He also adds 4.1 rebounds, 1.7 steals, and 1.5 assists per game. He has scored in double figures in 16 of the 24 contests for FHSU so far this season, including a career-high 30-point performance at Central Missouri. He has 67 3-point field goals through 24 games.

Konrade, a native of Spearville, Kan., carries a 3.96 GPA as an Exercise Science major at Fort Hays State.
