Fort Hays State looks to bounce back from a loss to No. 2 ranked Northwest Missouri State on Thursday evening (Jan. 25) when it heads to Jefferson City, Missouri for a meeting with Lincoln University at Jason Gym. Tipoff is at 7:30 pm, which follows the women's contest at 5:30 pm. FHSU enters at 12-6 overall, 5-4 in the MIAA, while Lincoln is 9-10 overall, 3-7 in the MIAA.

Fort Hays State is looks for just its second road win this season, currently 1-4 this year in true road games. The Tigers are 1-1 in neutral court games this year, so FHSU is 2-5 away from Gross Memorial Coliseum. The only true road win was at Emporia State on December 9. The Tigers took their first home loss of the season this past Saturday, 72-67 at the hands of defending national champion Northwest Missouri State. FHSU is now 10-1 at home this year.

Lincoln is 4-3 at home this year, but only one of four wins was in conference play. The lone conference home win came against Pittsburg State, 75-70, on January 11. The Blue Tigers are coming off a 75-74 win over Southwest Baptist in Bolivar this past Saturday. Lincoln currently sits in 12
th place in the 14-team MIAA race.

Last year's only regular season meeting was a nail-biter in Hays with FHSU winning 74-72 in overtime. FHSU won the last two games in the overall series, which it leads 14-5. FHSU lost its last contest against Lincoln inside Jason Gym, 76-70, during the 2015-16 season. The teams meet only once in the regular season again this year.

Hadley Gillum continues to lead FHSU with 17.7 points and 6.5 rebounds per game.
Marcus Cooper is coming off a big week for the Tigers after career highs in points (24 vs. Northwest Missouri State on Jan. 20) and rebounds (11 vs. Missouri Western on Jan. 18).

Lincoln has a consistent rotation of seven players and five average double figures in scoring, led by Amariontez Ivory at 14.9 points per game. Marquise Williams nearly averages a double-double at 10.6 points and 9.2 rebounds per game.
