TOPEKA, Kan. - The Fort Hays State track and field teams opened competition at the 2024 MIAA Indoor Championships on Friday (Feb. 23) with the women's pentathlon and the first half of the men's heptathlon.
Taylor Savolt led the Tigers in the pentathlon, finishing fourth, achieving a personal best and improving her NCAA qualifying mark.

Savolt earned a total of 3,769 points. Following closely behind,
Maggie Remsberg was sixth finish with 3,424 points, improving her provisional mark and achieving a personal best.
Hadley Williams secured 11th place,
Ellie Dusselier was 12th, and
Kylin Rudzik was 14th.
Ethan Salmans and
Jade Cass competed in the men's heptathlon, finishing in seventh and 11th respectively.
The Tiger women currently sit in third place with eight points after one event scored.
