PITTSBURG, Kan. - The NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field Championships saw Fort Hays State track and field athletes secure two All-America finishes on Friday (March 8).
Annabeth Baalmann earned All-America status in the pole vault, while the distance medley relay (DMR) team of
Trever Medina,
Hayden Albright,
Ethan Lang, and
Grant Bradley did the same.

Baalmann finished eighth in the pole vault with a clearance of 12-10.25 feet. Baalmann's performance earned her a spot as a first team All-American. It was her first All American honor at FHSU.

The men's DMR team finished sixth with a time of 9:50.67 to gain All-America First Team status. This marks the first All-American honor for Bradley and Medina, fourth All-America performance for Albright, and third for Lang.

In the heptathlon,
Nolan Churchman sits in sixth overall through day one with a total score of 3,114 points. Churchman's performance was highlighted by a strong 60m time of 6.98 seconds, .02 seconds from a personal best.

In the men's 800m prelims, Lang finished 14th with a time of 1:52.34. Albright unfortunately was disqualified in the men's 400m dash prelims.

The Tiger men are tied for 17th going into the second day of competition with three points, while the women sit in 28th with one point. The competition continues Saturday (March 9) at 10 a.m.
