Bradley and Williams Provisional Marks Highlight Thursday

A pair of qualifying marks were the highlights of the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate and day one of the Bryan Clay Invitational on Thursday (April 11).

At the Bryan Clay Invitational, Grant Bradley had a tremendous effort in the men's 3,000m steeplechase, securing ninth place with a time of 8:53.61. This time beat his personal best of 9:07.11 ran back in 2021 and improved on the best time ran in the program's NCAA Division II era. It was only about five seconds shy of John Mason's school record of 8:48.24 ran back in 1967. Bradley's time is the sixth-best in NCAA Division II so far this season.

Taylor Savolt's performance has her in second place of Group D in the women's heptathlon with a total score of 3,007 after the first day. Maggie Remsberg holds the sixth spot in Group D after the first day. Ethan Salmans represented the Tigers in the men's decathlon, finishing the first day in 14th position in Group D with a total score of 2,736.

At the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate, Toby Wahlmeier dashed to 28th place in the 100m with a swift time of 10.61 seconds, his best time this season. In the women's 400m, Reba Mader and Kinley Brown claimed the 20th and 26th spots, coming in just a couple of seconds shy of a provisional mark. Dayton Williams leaped to an impressive third place in the men's high jump, clearing a height of 6-9.0 and improving his provisional mark on the season.

At the Midwest Classic, Liberty Booker excelled in the women's hammer throw, claiming second place with a throw of 164-01. Hadley Williams led the women's heptathlon in fifth position after day one, followed closely by Kylin Rudzik in sixth and Ellie Dusselier in eighth. Luke Hampl sits in fourth in the men's decathlon, while Jade Cass is in sixth.

The Bryan Clay Invitational and Midwest Classic are set to continue, with the Midwest Classic scheduled for one more day of action, while the Bryan Clay Invitational will go until Saturday (April 13).
