PITTSBURG, Kan. –  Tiger Track & Field hit the road to Pittsburg, Kan. for the 16th Annual David Seunram Gorilla Classic yesterday (April 6). The Tigers came back to Hays with two champions and six provisional marks (three men, three women) on the weekend.

The men's pole vault saw
Jacob Clark vault to victory, claiming the top spot with a remarkable clearance of 17 feet, 3 inches. His exceptional performance tied his personal best and notched a national mark.
Brady Deges finished sixth, improving his provisional mark, vaulting 16 feet, 3.25 inches.

Adding to the men's success,
Keamonie Archie dominated the long jump, securing the win with an impressive leap of 24 feet, 3.5 inches. It was good for a wind-aided provisional mark. The men's high jump saw
Dayton Williams take sixth with a jump of 6 feet, 6.25 inches.

In the women's javelin throw,
Addie Berens (147 feet, 1 inch) and
Rhyann Brown (143 feet) delivered strong performances, securing the second and third positions. Their outstanding throws not only secured podium finishes, but also provisional marks.
Patrisha Doll's commendable performance earned her the fifth position and provisional mark at 140 feet, 11 inches.

The women's pole vault event showcased a fourth-place performance from
Annabeth Baalmann at 12 feet.
Jayme Hagerman secured the 6th position in the triple jump with a leap of 36 feet, 7.5 inches.

Noah Morenz placed second in the 3,000m steeplechase, his first time competing in the outdoor event with a time of 9:47.89.

Tiger Track & Field will head to the west coast for the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate in Long Beach, Calif. after traveling to Pittsburg, Kan. Fort Hays State will also send athletes to the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, Calif.Â
