HAYS, Kan. - The Fort Hays State men's cross country team placed fifth out of 14 teams at the 2025 FHSU Tiger Open Saturday morning (Oct. 11) at the Tiger Cross Country Course.

Christian Darrah led the Tigers to the line, placing eighth in the field of 144 finishers with a time of 24:23.1.
Noah Morenz turned in a career-best eight-kilometer time of 25:09.9, finishing in 30th place.
Cole Krug traversed the course in 25:57.9, good for 49th place.
Chayse McCullough finished in 61st place after turning in a time of 26:19.5, while
Emery Wolfe rounded out the Tiger top five in 64th place with a mark of 26:26.8.

Iowa Western's Geofrey Ronoh led the field to the line, finishing first in a time of 23:32.7. Colorado School of Mines, the top-ranked NCAA DII team, took home the team title with 59 team points.

The Tigers will jump into postseason competition in two weeks (Oct. 25) when they travel to Pittsburg, Kan. for the MIAA Championships. The men's eight-kilometer championship race is set to begin at 11 a.m. from Four Oaks Golf Course.
