Fort Hays State had six men's student-athletes from cross country and track and field receive CSC Academic All-District honors for the 2025-26 academic year, announced on June 23. Recipients of the honor this year included
Josiah Ball,
Christian Darrah,
Avrey Albright,
Dean Clark,
Noah Morenz, and
Mason Younger.

Fort Hays State received the maximum number of selections an institution can receive for cross country and track and field. The award honors a combination of academic and athletic accomplishments of the individuals selected.

For potential selection to the Academic All-District Team, an individual must rank in the Top 50 of their region in a single event (cross country, indoor track and field or outdoor track and field), not including relay events. They must also be at least a sophomore in athletic eligibility and hold a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.

Albright and Clark are now two-time recipients of this honor, while Ball, Darrah, Morenz, and Younger earned the honor for the first time.

Ball was a top-20 performer nationally during both the indoor and outdoor seasons in the pole vault. He was an NCAA national qualifier for both seasons and he earned All-America honors for the outdoor season with an eighth-place finish at the NCAA Championships. Ball was among the top-six performers regionally for both seasons as well. He is an Information Networking and Telecommunications major at FHSU and holds a 3.84 cumulative GPA.

Darrah was the top performer for the Tigers in cross country during the 2025 season. He finished 42
nd at the NCAA Central Regional in 2025. Darrah was a Health and Human Performance major with a 3.59 cumulative GPA.

Albright ranked among the top 25 regionally during the outdoor season for the 100, 200, and 400-meter dashes. He was among the top 30 nationally in the 400 meters. During the indoor season, he was among the top 50 performers regionally in the 60 and 400 meters. Albright holds a 3.71 cumulative GPA as a Management major.

Clark was a national qualifier for the Tigers during the outdoor season in the long jump. He ranked 10
th nationally in the event and fifth regionally before placing 19
th at the NCAA Championships. He was also among the top 20 regionally in the triple jump during the outdoor season. For the indoor season, he was among the top 30 regionally in both the long jump and triple jump. Clark holds a 3.64 GPA as a Biology major at FHSU.

Morenz was among the top 10 performers in the region in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, while also ranking among the top 50 nationally. He ranked among the top 50 regionally in the outdoor 1,500 meters. He was also a strong contributor to the Tigers in cross country. Morenz held a 3.79 cumulative GPA as a Health and Human Performance major.

Younger was among the top 20 performers regionally for both the indoor and outdoor seasons in the pole vault. He was among the top 50 national performers during the indoor season. Younger holds a 3.76 cumulative GPA as a Health and Human Performance major at FHSU.
