With two games to go in the regular season, the Tigers currently sit in third place in the MIAA standings along with Rogers State, both just a game back of Pittsburg State for second place. Washburn has already wrapped up the conference regular season title. In the latest KPI ratings that will be used for MIAA Tournament seeding, FHSU also sits third.

Fort Hays State enters Wednesday on a three-game win streak. After a road victory at Newman, the Tigers defended their home floor last week with a 70-59 win over Missouri Southern and 62-58 win over Pittsburg State.

Nebraska-Kearney is coming off a win in its previous game. The Lopers defeated Missouri Southern 88-78 in Kearney back on Saturday.

Fort Hays State has won the last seven meetings with Nebraska-Kearney going back to the 2020-21 season. FHSU has also won seven-straight meetings in Hays. The Tigers defeated the Lopers in Hays last year by a score of 80-67.

Kaleb Hammeke leads the Tigers at 15.8 points and 4.0 assists per game. He is now just 30 points shy of 2,000 for his career. Shaun Riley leads the Tigers in rebounding at 6.2 per game. Kyle Grill also averages double figures in scoring at 11.7 points per game.
