Track & Field/Cross Country (1976-78)
Bob McAnany, native of Shawnee, Kan., was a standout cross country and track athlete at FHSU and competed for the Tigers from 1976-1978. "Mac" was an integral part of the Tiger men's distance program. He was a member of two conference championship track and field squads and one conference and District 10 championship cross country squad. He was a two-time Indoor All-American. He also garnered multiple all-conference and all-district honors in distance events and was a two-time national qualifier in the 1500 meters. He is the holder of the two fastest 1500 and 800 meter doubles in school history. He is the third-fastest 1500 meter runner in school history, behind only John Mason and former teammate Lonnie Gee. In addition to his running success at FHSU, "Mac" has also supported FHSU Athletics for countless years by assisting with and attending nearly all FHSU home meets.
