Football/Track & Field (1998-2002)
Casey Seyfert, native of Beloit, Kan., was a two-sport standout athlete at Fort Hays State in football and track and field.  Seyfert played football for the Tigers from 1998 to 2001.  He earned First-Team All-American honors in football as a defensive lineman during his senior year of 2001. In his career for football, Seyfert amassed 126 tackles, 41.5 tackles for losses, and 17 sacks.  Seyfert was also very accomplished as a track and field athlete, competing from 1999 to 2002.  Seyfert was a two-time NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field National Champion in the shot put, coming as a freshman in 1999 and as a junior in 2001.  He was a four-time Indoor All-American in the shot put.  Seyfert was also a two-time Outdoor All-American in the shot put, with second place being his highest finish in 2000.  He still owns the school records for shot put for both indoor and outdoor track and field.
