Men's Basketball (1993-95)
Dennis Edwards, native of Annapolis, Md., was a member of the FHSU men’s basketball team for two seasons from 1993-1995. Edwards was a force for the Tigers, earning All-American honors in both of his seasons at FHSU. He was the 1994-95 CoSIDA National Player of the Year as a senior. He was also named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Player of the Year in both of his seasons at FHSU. Edwards still holds the FHSU single-season scoring record with 806 points as a senior in 1994-95. He still owns the two-highest single-season scoring averages with 26.9 points per game in 1994-95 and 25.8 points per game in 1993-94. Edwards also owns the top two single-season marks at FHSU in field goals made. Edwards owns the only two 50-point games in Tiger history, coming against Adams State in 1994 and Emporia State in 1995. He also owns the next three highest individual scoring games in school history. Edwards broke the 30-point mark 22 times in his career. He still holds the school record for most field goals made and most field goals attempted in a game.
