Brad Brown, native of Norton, Kan., served as athletic trainer at Fort Hays State from 1978 to 1985, while also serving as an instructor in the Health & Human Performance department. Brown was athletic trainer at Fort Hays State for two NAIA national championships, coming in men's basketball in 1983-84 and 1984-85. He is in his 24th season as the Head Athletic Trainer for the Tennessee Titans. Prior to joining the Titans' franchise, Brown was an assistant athletic trainer for the Denver Broncos. Following the 2000 season, Brown and his staff were awarded the NFL Athletic Training Staff of the Year honor by Ed Block Foundation and the Professional Football Athletic Trainers Society. In 2001, he was named the Southeast Athletic Trainers Association's Professional Athletic Trainer of the Year. In 2002, Brown was a recipient of the FHSU Alumni Association Achievement and Distinguished Service Award. In 2009, he was awarded the Joe Worden Clinic/Professional Athletic Trainer of the Year by the Tennessee Athletic Trainers Society. Brown graduated from Fort Hays State with a bachelor of science in Physical Education in 1977 and a master of science in Physical Education and Secondary Administration in 1978.
