Men's Basketball (1986-88)
Mark Harris, native of Flint, Mich. played for the FHSU men's basketball team from 1986 to 1988. He ranks sixth on the all-time scoring list at FHSU, despite playing just two years. His career scoring average of 21.2 points per game ranks second to only Dennis Edwards, the most prolific scorer in the history of the program. Harris and Edwards are the only two players in the history of the program to average better than 20 points per game in their career. He scored the third most points in a single season at FHSU with 747 in 1986-87, a school record until Dennis Edwards broke it in the 90s. He averaged 23.3 points per game that season. He ranks fifth for field goals made in a single season (296 in 1986-87) and 10th for assists in a single season (150 in 1986-87). He is the career leader in free-throw percentage at the school, hitting 86.1 percent of his attempts over two years. He ranks fourth in career field goal percentage (.569), fourth in career assists per game (4.5), sixth in career assists (291), and sixth in career steals (115).
