Football (1980-82)
Tony Workman, native of Goodland, Kan., was a NAIA All-America First Team selection for Fort Hays State in 1982 as a tight end. Workman led the Tigers in receptions (51), yards (636) and receiving touchdowns (7) that year, catching 32 more passes than the next closest teammate. He was also an All-CSIC First Team selection that year. In 1981, Workman had a solid season in which he also led the Tigers in receiving with 665 yards on 43 catches and five touchdowns, earning second team all-conference honors as a wide receiver. Workman finished with 12 receiving touchdowns in his career. Workman was a member of the Tiger football team for three years (1980-82).
