Track & Field (1987-89)
A native of Hays, Kansas, Jon Haselhorst was a member of the track and field team from 1987 to 1989. He was a two-time national champion at FHSU winning the indoor 55-meter hurdles in 1988 and the outdoor 110-meter hurdles in 1989. He finished as a four-time All-American in the hurdles, adding a national runner-up performance in the indoor 55-meter hurdles in 1989 and a fourth-place finish in the outdoor 110-meter hurdles in 1988. Haselhorst was a three-time CSIC and NAIA District 10 outdoor champion, taking top honors in the 110-meter hurdles and 400-meter hurdles in 1988 and the 110-meter hurdles in 1989. Haselhorst still owns school records in the 55-meter hurdles for indoor (7.1 seconds) and 110-meter hurdles for outdoor (13.8 seconds).
